Badin entered their tilt with Carroll on Wednesday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Patriots a 10-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Dylan Andrews and Chase Maggard dominated on the mound. Andrews tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit, while Maggard tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Maggard has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Eli Wolpert and James Brink did most of the damage at the plate: Wolpert scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-4, while Brink went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those stolen bases were Wolpert's first of the season. Cade Cummins was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Badin kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.2 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 12.8.

Badin's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Carroll, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Badin will take on Pickerington Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Carroll will be paying especially close attention to the Rams' match: after the Rams faces off against Lakota East, they'll take on Carroll again at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
