Basketball Recap: Simpson Takes a Loss

Simpson has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 49-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oak Hill Rams on Tuesday. The Broncos were not able to make up for their loss to the Rams from their previous meeting back in December of 2024.

Oak Hill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Everette Boone led the charge by putting up 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Wesley McMickin, who posted eight points and six steals.

Simpson's defeat dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Oak Hill, they pushed their record up to 3-6 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Simpson will take on St. Joseph's - Plaucheville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oak Hill, they will challenge Buckeye at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
