Basketball Recap: Riverside Triumphs

Riverside won the last time they faced Irrigon, and Justien Tido did her part to make sure it happened again. The stars were shining brightly for the Riverside Pirates in a 40-23 win over the Irrigon Knights on Thursday thanks in part to Tido, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. Tido is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Another player making a difference was Kaylee Christy, who posted four points and four steals. Those four points gave her a new career-high.

The victory got Riverside back to even at 4-4. As for Irrigon, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Riverside will take on North Marion in a tournament on December 27th. As for Irrigon, they and Four Rivers will face off at 4:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
