Softball Recap: Brownsburg Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Brownsburg and Avon squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Brownsburg had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Orioles by a score of 10-9. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Orioles recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Jocelyn Hornett led a balanced group of hitters, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Tatum Hunt, who went 2-for-4 with one home run.

Brownsburg's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Avon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-17.

Brownsburg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Avon, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 defeat against Center Grove on the 3rd.
