White Knoll took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Belton-Honea Path, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Timberwolves sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-4 victory over the Bears on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Timberwolves have posted since March 29, 2025.

Reginae Porterfield was excellent, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Jaida Gay was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

White Knoll now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Belton-Honea Path, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

When White Knoll and Belton-Honea Path next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. The Timberwolves will try to stop River Bluff's three-game winning streak when they meet at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (White Knoll 3.4, the Gators 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Belton-Honea Path will square off against Blue Ridge and their four-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
