Baseball Recap: Cranston West Triumphs

Cranston West hadn't done well against South Kingstown recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Falcons walked away with an 8-5 win over the Rebels. Eight seems to be a good number for the Falcons as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Dylan Milano was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Alex Milano, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Cranston West always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. The last time their OBP was this high was back in May of 2025.

The win made it two in a row for Cranston West and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for South Kingstown, they moved to 7-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
