Baseball Recap: South Florence Takes a Loss

If South Florence was riding high fresh off their 10-1 takedown of Lower Richland on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. South Florence fell just short of the East Clarendon Wolverines by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Bruins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Amare Reaves was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Gabe McLaughlin was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

South Florence's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for East Clarendon, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

South Florence wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against West Florence on the 18th. As for East Clarendon, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-1 victory against Manning on the 19th.
