Softball Recap: McCallum Takes a Loss

McCallum fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Vandegrift on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Vipers by a score of 16-15. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vipers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2025.

McCallum's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Vandegrift, the win also got them back to even at 1-1.

McCallum and Vandegrift will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Knights are set to square off against their familiar foe Cedar Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Vandegrift will face off against rival Round Rock at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
