Toure recorded a score of 99 out of 100 in the championship round to edge out Jaron Saulsberry.

FORT MYERS, FLA. — Abdou Toure of Notre Dame (West Haven, Conn.) won the City of Palms Classic slam dunk contest Sunday night after earning combined scores of 93 out of 100 on his first two slams and a combined score of 99 out of 100 in the championship round. The 6-foot-5 senior signed with Arkansas edged out three-star Mississippi signee Jaron Saulsberry of Wheeler (Marietta, Ga.) in the final round.

For his first two dunks of the contest, Toure threw down a sky-scraping windmill dunk that looked effortless before throwing a self alley-oop from halfcourt that landed just inside the free throw line resulting in a dunk.

For his two dunks in the championship round, Toure went behind his back for the slam before throwing down an emphatic windmill slam off his teammates pass that came off the side of the backboard.

Sandi of St. Thomas Aquinas (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and Miles Simpson of The Villages Charter (The Villages, Fla.).
