Football Recap: Stratford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

After soaring to 50 points the game before, Stratford was a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a blow against the Bunnell Bulldogs, falling 35-6. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut football rankings (they are ranked 81st, while the Bulldogs are ranked 18th).

Blake Merfalen threw for 37 yards on five of eight attempts. Jalen Matthew was his top target, picking up 33 receiving yards. On the ground, Shaboz Henry rushed for 54 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Stratford's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Bunnell, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-2.

As of now, neither Stratford nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
