Softball Recap: Bravo Has No Trouble Against Roosevelt

Bravo hadn't done well against Roosevelt recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Bravo blew past Roosevelt 13-3. This was payback for the Knights, who suffered a 6-5 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Lexie Avila, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jade Mendez, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.

Bravo has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs this season. As for Roosevelt, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Looking ahead, Bravo will head out on the road to take on Hamilton at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bravo is facing Hamilton at the right time seeing as Hamilton is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Roosevelt, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Garfield at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Roosevelt will need to watch out since Garfield has now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
