Baseball Game Preview: Bradford Central Braves vs. Naples Big Green Machines

The Bradford Central Braves will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Naples Big Green Machines at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bradford Central is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after starting their season on the road. They came up short against Red Jacket on Wednesday, falling 10-2. The Braves have struggled against Red Jacket recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Naples couldn't beat Whitman on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Big Green Machines fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Big Green Machines have suffered against the Wildcats since April 24, 2019.

Wilhelm Schmidt was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those hits were his first of the season.
