Baseball Recap: St. Peter's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

St. Peter fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against New Ulm on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The loss put an end to the Saints' undefeated start to the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, St. Peter fell to 2-1. As for New Ulm, the win was the fifth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, St. Peter will head out on the road to face off against Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for New Ulm, they will welcome Belle Plaine at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
