Alva has gone 10-0 against Blackwell recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Alva Goldbugs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Blackwell Maroons at 6:30 p.m. Blackwell took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Alva, who comes in off a win.

Alva's tournament run continued when they took on Allen on Saturday. Alva took down Allen 49-34. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Goldbugs.

Meanwhile, Blackwell was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to Chisholm on the road by a 50-33 margin.

Alva is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Blackwell, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
