Baseball Recap: Leakey Eagles vs. Medina Bobcats
Leakey extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 2-8. They came up short against the Medina Bobcats, falling 16-0. Considering the last time the Eagles couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.
As for Medina, their win bumped their record up to 11-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by seven runs or more this season.
For Medina's part, Holland Cook and Davis Peterson made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Cook kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits over four innings pitched. Meanwhile, Peterson pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Cook got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Peterson got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Peterson has posted since back in April of 2025.
