Volleyball Recap: Morgan Comes Up Short

Morgan lost against Fort Frye back in October of 2021 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Cadets.

The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-12.

Allia Rush paced Morgan's offense, picking up ten kills. Rush got some help from Kaidence Searl and her 14 assists. Lanie Haines controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Morgan has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Fort Frye, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Morgan will venture away from home to challenge Sheridan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Fort Frye, they will square off against Parkersburg South at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
