Soccer Game Preview: Skyline vs. Dexter

The Skyline Eagles will challenge the Dexter Dreadnaughts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyline is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.

Skyline's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Bedford as they made off with an 8-0 victory. Considering Skyline have won four contests by more than two goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Dexter fell victim to Saline and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 7-0. The loss put an end to Dexter's undefeated start to the season.

Skyline pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 19 goals over those three games. As for Dexter, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Skyline took their win against Dexter in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dreadnaughts turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
