Volleyball Recap: Kenwood Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against East Nashville Magnet on Tuesday, Kenwood came back down to earth. The Knights came up short against the West Creek Coyote on Thursday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-10.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emilia Contreras, who had four aces and two assists. Contreras has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Kenwood now has a losing record of 1-2. As for West Creek, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kenwood will challenge Dickson County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for West Creek, they will be playing at home against Montgomery Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
