Soccer Game Preview: South Sevier vs. Grand County

South Sevier hasn't had much luck against Grand County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rams will head out to challenge the Red Devils at 4:00 p.m.

South Sevier managed to slip by Millard the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Rams lost 4-0 to the Eagles on Thursday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grand County). They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over San Juan on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for Grand County in their matchups with San Juan: they've now won nine in a row.

Grand County's offense was hitting San Juan from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Jake Mason led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.

The win got Grand County back to even at 3-3. As for South Sevier, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

South Sevier beat Grand County 2-0 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
