Soccer Recap: Largo Comes Up Short

Largo lost against Palm Harbor University back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Largo Packers lost 7-0 to the Palm Harbor University Hurricanes. While losing is never fun, the Packers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 353rd, while the Hurricanes are ranked 11th).

Largo's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5-2. As for Palm Harbor University, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Largo and Dunedin will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Palm Harbor University, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Osceola at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
