Douglas took a 13-run defeat the last time they faced off against Southeastern, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Douglas Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 victory over the Southeastern Mustangs on Thursday. The win was just business as usual for the Eagles, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

Douglas' victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Southeastern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Douglas will host Southeastern at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Southeastern, they will be playing at home against Fairview at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Southeastern's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Fairview's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
