 Plainedge had to endure  a  four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Wantagh Warriors by a score of  7-2  on Thursday. Plainedge's hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  runs they've scored all season.
 For Wantagh's part,  Paul Fontana was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched.
 At the plate, Wantagh saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  AJ Bardi, who  went 1-for-3 with  an  RBI.
 Plainedge  made their fans wait, but they earned their first win of the season to make their record 1-4. As for Wantagh, their defeat  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 13-2-1.
