Baseball Recap: Hoopeston Cornjerkers vs. Watseka Warriors

Hoopeston won against Milford last Friday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Hoopeston Cornjerkers sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Watseka Warriors. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hoopeston.

Ethan Steiner looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Ryker Small and Cole Miller did most of the damage at the plate: Small scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances, while Miller scored two runs while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Eisenmann, who went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and an RBI.
