After flying high against Franklin County on Friday, Brookhaven came back down to earth. The Brookhaven Panthers fell 8-4 to the Pearl Pirates on Saturday. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Zaylee Reed made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Brookhaven suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 6-4. As for Pearl, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Brookhaven didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 12-0 victory against Bogue Chitto on the 3rd. As for Pearl, they have also already played their next contest, an 11-4 win against Enterprise on the 3rd.
