Baseball Game Preview: Shorecrest Prep Chargers vs. Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders

Shorecrest Prep is 0-3 against Clearwater Central Catholic since March of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. Shorecrest Prep will be playing at home against Clearwater Central Catholic at 4:30 p.m. The last three games Shorecrest Prep has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Last Friday, Shorecrest Prep didn't have quite enough to beat Seminole and fell 8-7.

Christopher Booth made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with five RBI and one triple. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Granese, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Clearwater Central Catholic came up short against Calvary Christian on Friday and fell 5-2. The Marauders have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Clearwater Central Catholic saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Brkljacic, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Those two hits gave Brkljacic a new career-high.

Shorecrest Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
