Basketball Recap: Clairton Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matchups, Clairton finally came back down to earth on Tuesday. They were dealt a 58-27 defeat at the hands of the Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions. The Bears have struggled against the Centurions recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Clairton's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Greensburg Central Catholic, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-0.

Clairton will take on Frazier in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greensburg Central Catholic and California will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greensburg Central Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully California likes a good challenge.
