Volleyball Recap: Humboldt Finds Playoff Glory Versus Eureka

With a playoff win on the line, Humboldt rose to the challenge on Monday. They came out on top against the Eureka Tornadoes by a score of 2-0. The victory continues a trend for the Cubs in their matchups with the Tornadoes: they've now won four in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Humboldt to victory, but perhaps none more so than Skylar Hottenstein, who had 12 digs and three aces. Hottenstein has been hot, having posted two or more aces the last five times she's played.

Humboldt's win bumped their record up to 31-9. As for Eureka, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-21.

Humboldt didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Erie on the 20th. Eureka has also already played their next contest (against Belle Plaine), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
