If North Sand Mountain was riding high fresh off their 20-4 takedown of Shades Valley on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Sand Mountain Bison fell 15-11 to the Shades Valley Mounties on Saturday. The Bison's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Mikey Poss and Brayton Johnson did some serious damage despite the final result: Poss scored a run while going 3-for-5, while Johnson scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4. Poss also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Luke Reed, who scored two runs while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.

North Sand Mountain's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Shades Valley, their win ended an 11-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. North Sand Mountain will host Collinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. North Sand Mountain is facing Collinsville at the right time seeing as Collinsville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Shades Valley, they will welcome McAdory at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
