After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Peter, Mankato West was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Austin Packers a 10-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Scarlets, who have now won six contests by nine runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Cora Aanenson's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Mankato West got a massive performance out of Lilly Considine, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three runs gave Considine a new career-high. Riley Fitzloff was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double.

Mankato West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Austin only managed five.

Mankato West's victory bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Mankato West will face off against Century at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Austin, they will challenge Byron at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Packers surely won't give up without a fight.
