Baseball Recap: Richton Rebels vs. Lumberton Panthers

Richton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lumberton Panthers. The Rebels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Tuck Fulmer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That run marked the first that he's scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Remmington Graham, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

Richton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Lumberton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-0-1.

Lumberton's pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so Jefferson Davis County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
