Baseball Recap: Walton-Verona Takes a Loss

Walton-Verona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 13-3 to the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets.

Walton-Verona saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Evan Siebold, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Miles Lehmkuhl was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Walton-Verona's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Walton-Verona Bearcats challenge Gallatin County Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Gallatin County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.8 runs per game on average), something Walton-Verona will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Archbishop McNicholas, they will take on Milford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
