Basketball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Cocoa Beach's Winning Streak + How To Watch

Cocoa Beach made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Titusville, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Minutemen fell just short of the Terriers by a score of 47-45 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Minutemen have suffered since December 12, 2024.

Several Minutemen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taj Holland, who almost dropped a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Holland is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Yiorgos Xirouchakis, who posted ten points along with five boards and three steals.

With the defeat, Cocoa Beach broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-2. As for Titusville, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Cocoa Beach will square off against Father Lopez at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Titusville, they will challenge Astronaut at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Terriers will be up against the War Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 56.17 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
