Sehome let Nooksack Valley stack five runs on them in the second inning on Wednesday but luckily Sehome prevailed anyway. The Mariners won by a run and slipped past the Pioneers 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mariners have posted since March 22nd.

Hudson Neff made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. Neff was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Sehome's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 5-8 when he doesn't).
