Volleyball Game Preview: Pitman Pride vs. Turlock Bulldogs + Official Tickets

Pitman is on a six-game streak of home wins, while Turlock is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Pride will host the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

On Thursday, Pitman made easy work of Gregori and carried off a 3-0 win.

Pitman's got stronger as the match went on, holding Gregori to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-11.

Pitman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aila Reich, who had 12 digs and two aces. Reich has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played. Nicoletta Dowd was another key player, getting 12 assists and five digs.

They weren't the only good servers: Pitman was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Turlock got the win against Enochs on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Pitman's victory bumped their record up to 25-9. As for Turlock, their win bumped their record up to 22-9.

Pitman came out on top in a nail-biter against Turlock when the teams last played on October 2nd, sneaking past 3-2. Do the Pride have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
