Baseball Recap: Manzano Comes Up Short

Manzano lost to La Cueva on Saturday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Monarchs lost 20-1 to the Bears. The Monarchs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Manzano saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bodey Ethridge, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Manzano's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for La Cueva, they pushed their record up to 14-3 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Manzano will challenge rival Sandia at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, La Cueva is set to take on their familiar foe Eldorado at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
