Baseball Game Preview: Bedford Bulldogs vs. St. Thomas Aquinas Saints

For the second straight game, Bedford will face off against St. Thomas Aquinas. The Bulldogs will challenge the Saints at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Bedford is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on St. Thomas Aquinas with a sharp 14-6 win on Friday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bulldogs needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Bedford got a big performance out of Peter Suozzo, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Suozzo has launched this season. Will Smith was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Bedford lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since the start of last season.

Bedford now has a winning record of 6-5. As for St. Thomas Aquinas, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
