Basketball Recap: Sheridan Blackhawks vs. Tipton Blue Devils
Sheridan and Tipton squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Sheridan had to settle for second. They fell to the Tipton Blue Devils 59-54. The Blackhawks lost against the Blue Devils in their previous head to head back in March of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 79-41 score last time.
Several Blackhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Damon Winston, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 13 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Devon Hamilton, who posted 12 points.
Grady Carpenter continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Tipton, dropping a double-double with 29 points and ten boards. Carpenter has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more points the last 12 times he's played. Sam Quigley was another key player, putting up eight points and six rebounds.
