Baseball Game Preview: Mechanicsville Mustangs vs. Hanover Hawks

Mechanicsville blew King George out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Monday King George got their revenge. The Mustangs fell just short of the Foxes by a score of 7-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Mustangs have suffered since April 19, 2024.

Meanwhile, Hanover has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.4 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They took a 10-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of Midlothian. The Hawks' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Hanover's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Mechanicsville, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-4.
