Basketball Recap: Central Woodstock Takes a Loss

After flying high against Luray last Tuesday, Central Woodstock came back down to earth. The Central Woodstock Falcons fell 48-37 to the Strasburg Rams on Thursday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Rams recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Central Woodstock's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Strasburg, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5.

Central Woodstock and Strasburg should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. Central Woodstock will take on Madison County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday up 170 places (157 vs. 327). Meanwhile, Strasburg (ranked 108th) will meet Stonewall Jackson (ranked 387th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
