Basketball Recap: Pinecrest Prep Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Pinecrest Prep lost against Archbishop Carroll back in November of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Crocs lost 70-46 to the Bulldogs. The game marked the Crocs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Pinecrest Prep still got an impressive performance from Gabriel Guzman, who posted 16 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The matchup was Guzman's third in a row with at least 16 points. Aaron Castellon was another key player, putting up eight points and five rebounds.

Archbishop Carroll's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alejandro Alvarez led the charge by dropping a double-double with 14 points and 15 boards. Another player making a difference was Angel Marquez, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.

Pinecrest Prep now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Archbishop Carroll, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Pinecrest Prep will welcome Mater Brickell Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Archbishop Carroll, they will head out to challenge Dade Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
