Volleyball Recap: Ashlyn Ramsey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Waldron over Morristown

Waldron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Morristown Yellow Jackets. The Mohawks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Yellow Jackets from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

While Waldron was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Morristown's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-21, 25-22.

Waldron lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Ashlyn Ramsey, who had 11 digs and five aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last five games she's played. Maleah Williams was another key player, getting 14 kills and three aces.

Waldron's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Morristown, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-9.

Coming up, Waldron will challenge Hauser at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Morristown, they have already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against Argos on the 20th.
