Softball Recap: Steele Comes Up Short

After flying high against Victoria East on Thursday, Steele came back down to earth. The Steele Knights took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Needville Bluejays on Thursday. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 7-6 to the Bluejays when the teams met back in March of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Steele dropped their record down to 6-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Needville, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Steele wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 7-4 win against St. Joseph on the 28th. As for Needville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-1 victory against Victoria East on the 28th.
