Basketball Recap: Hammond Academy of Science & Tech Comes Up Short

Hammond Academy of Science & Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by the Kouts Mustangs & Fillies 74-40. While losing is never fun, the Hawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 365th, while the Mustangs & Fillies are ranked 148th).

Hammond Academy of Science & Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Kouts, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hammond Academy of Science & Tech will head out to face off against Calumet Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kouts, they will face off against Washington Township at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th.
