Football Recap: Bermudian Springs Sets Scoring Season-High Against Biglerville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bermudian Springs). They put the hurt on the Biglerville Canners with a sharp 33-7 win on Friday. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Canners recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Lane Hubbard produced another solid performance rushing for 70 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while also throwing for 62 yards and one TD. What's more, he racked up 86.1 passer rating, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Bermudian Springs also got a significant boost from Blain Cruz, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.

Bermudian Springs didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Biglerville to a completion percentage of just 50%. That dominant aerial defense primarily came from two players: Hubbard and Noel Gonzalez, who each logged two passes deflected. Bermudian Springs wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 41.7%.

The win got Bermudian Springs back to even at 3-3. As for Biglerville, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
