AA Region III recap October 1, 2013
Fairfield Central extended the longest winning streak in AA Region III this week by beating Cheraw, 41-6. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Fairfield Central took down the Braves 41-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. DeAndre Belton threw for 219 yards and ran for 52 yards in the win.
Demetrius Davis' team's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Joseph Young chipped in 62 yards. Kewaun Squirewell helped Fairfield Central's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 51 yards.
The Griffins' dynamic duo of Belton and Javaris Cook proved to be unstoppable against Cheraw, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Squirewell helped Fairfield Central's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 51 yards.
On the heels of Deion Trezevant and Peter Easaw, Keenan has had great success on offense. Trezevant leads the league in passing with 843 yards, while Easaw has rushed for 557 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is Fairfield Central's Squirewell, with 270 yards on 15 catches.
The Raiders are in third place, while North Central is in second place.
