Basketball Game Preview: Springdale Prep Lions vs. Gillion Academy Lions

Springdale Prep will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Gillion Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Springdale Prep's tournament run continued when they took on Kid Stars Rising Christian Learning Academy last Saturday. The Lions claimed a resounding 66-36 win over the Stars. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Springdale Prep got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jay Green out in front who posted nine points and four steals. Bol Thet was another key player, shooting 42% from the field on his way to 10 points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Gillion Academy ended up a good deal behind Prolific Prep on Saturday and lost 75-60. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (58), the Lions still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Gillion Academy and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Springdale Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.
