Volleyball Recap: Crest Ridge Comes Up Short

Crest Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Northwest Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss back in September.

Crest Ridge started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-11, 25-20, 25-13.

Sofi Amaya was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last two matchups.

Crest Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 9-14-1. As for Northwest, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-2 record this season.

Crest Ridge has already played their next match (against Lone Jack), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Northwest, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Windsor on the 14th.
