Coldwater (Ohio) extended its winning streak to 11 games with a 42-7 victory over Miami East (Casstown, Ohio) on Saturday.
The Cavaliers were up 35-0 at the half after taking the lead on a passing touchdown in the first quarter.
Each side put up seven points during the third quarter, and the fourth quarter began with the margin still at 35.
The Vikings' lone touchdown came on a 10-yard pass in the third quarter.
Coldwater went into the matchup giving up only 5.4 points per game. The seven points that Miami East ended with were well below its average of 29.2 coming into the game. ME came in surrendering 15.9 points per game this season. The Casstown school struggled against CHS's offense, which entered the game scoring 35.8 points per game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Miami East, which notched a 50-15 victory over National Trail in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Vikings' 3-game winning streak.
