Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Montclair). They put the hurt on the Glen Ridge Ridgers with a sharp 5-1 win on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given Montclair's disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Glen Ridge are ranked 24th).

The win got Montclair back to even at 4-4-1. As for Glen Ridge, the loss snapped their winning streak at seven matches and leaves them with a 7-2 record.

Montclair has already played their next contest (against East Side), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Glen Ridge, they will challenge NV - Old Tappan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
