Beaver Local won the last time they faced Struthers and things went their way on Thursday too. The Beavers put the hurt on the Wildcats with a sharp 11-1 win. Considering the Beavers have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Beaver Local got a great performance from Megan Henrich as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. Henrich has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Calleigh Eells was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Addie Thurik was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs.

Beaver Local hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in eight consecutive contests.

Beaver Local's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Struthers, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Coming up, Beaver Local will challenge Barnesville at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Struthers, they will square off against Chaney at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cowboys will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
